If you connect your phone to an iTunes enabled computer, does iTunes recognize your phone as being connected?

If it does, then your problem may be backlight related. Shine a bright flashlight on the screen right after you connect it to iTunes. If you can see a dim image, then you may have blown the backlight circuit on the phone or damaged the backlight in the display assembly. This can happen when you disconnect the screen before disconnecting the battery.

If iTunes doesn't recognize the phone, then you may have other issues on the logic board.
