Why is my menu screen only visible for a second and then flashes off
When I push the menu button to menu screen appears for a second or two and then disappears not enough time for me to change any settings and I cannot get hooked the internet

What is the model number of your Vizio TV?
Have you tried pressing the menu button on the TV itself (if there is one - usually found on the side of the TV) to see if the menu screen stays on.
If it does and you can navigate OK through the menus It may be that the remote's menu button is "double operating" or "bouncing" i.e. it operates once to open the menu screen, then operates again to close the menu screen, even though you have only pressed it once.
Does it only happen on the menu button or on the channel up/down and volume up/down as well, or any other button for that matter? Do the channels and volume skip past where you want it to be, with just the one press of the button or if you select a channel number you get a different channel, e.g. press 2 and get 22?
