Display shows wrong time for my time zone

The TR40-CRA converter allows the user to set the time zone and ZIP code but not the actual time.

When Daylight Savings Time kicked in on Sunday, my DTV converter failed to display the correct time. (This, despite being programmed to observe Daylight Savings for my ZIP code.) It is now running one hour behind, necessitating that I adjust my timers for an extended hour (which requires more vampire energy).

I have tried re-entering the actual ZIP, as well as the alternate code provided in the user's manual. I have also tried rebooting the entire system, going back to factory defaults. Still nothing. When I tried accessing the website provided via the "Sys Info" button on the remote (dtvpal.com), the result was a blank screen. When I tried the Dish Network website, I discovered that my model had been discontinued. (I wonder why!)

If anyone can advise on how to fix this glitch, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

Jessica you should contact Dish network--use their 800 number and ask for tech support. They will talk you through recalibrating your receiver. If that proves to be impossible they will ship you a replacement and you send yours to them in the same box. They pay for shipping. This works believe me--I've been there and done that. Good luck.

I believe you need to connect the receiver to a phone land line to resolve your problem.

Unfortunately, the device does not have a phone jack. Thanks, anyway. I do appreciate it!
