exact location of tiny black rubber spacer for proximity sensor

Hello,

I've managed to change the display assembly using iFixit guide, all good, except for the fact that this little black rubber shaped like a halfpipe fell out when i took the mainboard out, and i don't know where it belongs.

I didn't find anything specific in the guide, so i left it out.

After this, the proximity sensor works very erratic.

Can you please ad some more info into the guide related to this problem?

Thank you very much

i dont think the proximity sensor function will improve after installing the rubber spacer, unfortunately.

i'm having an issue with my prox sensor after a color LCD swap.. seems to work only out doors under bright sun :(

As you look in the iphone, the black rubber goes along the top of the main board and hooks round, it protects the lcd ribbon cable from being scratched my the main board....
