Can the tv Ariel socket be replaced.
The Ariel socket price on the back of the television has come out and I can not attach the tv Ariel to the tv. Can it be replaced?

@michaelconnor yes it can if you can find a replacement or if the one that broke off can be resoldered. You do want to go ahead and remove the main board of your TV and post some pictures of it and the broken connector. That way we can see how it is broke etc. Use this guide Adding images to an existing question for that

Hi @oldturkey03 ,
Sometimes co-ax sockets are a PITA as they are part of the tuner module which is a sealed unit.
It may be easier to replace the module or even the board.
No doubt we shall see when the pictures are posted.

Hi @jayeff you are of course absolutely right. I was wondering if it is just the coax connector or even the whole tuner assembly. From what I envision a new main board is most likely the way to fix this.
