Why is does my TV say "connecting" and, then, flashes on and off

My Samsung wall-mounted TV says "connecting' with the start button but, then flashes on and off still saying "connecting' but does not connect

Answer this question I have this problem too

David Isquith what model is your TV? If it is a smart TV, you do want to turn automatic updates and WiFi connections etc. off and see what happens. A Lot of times when those TV's try to update firmware etc. they will show symptoms like yours.
