Turning on and off after it died?

Okay so my phone died around a half and hour ago and it finally turned on, but then turned off again. So I wait a couple more minutes and it turns on again, and then off again. It has now done this at least seven times and I'm stuck in a loop can someone help?

With the iPhone 6S, the most likely scenario is a dead battery. You could try to replace it yourself although you have to take the risk that it might not solve your problem.

Has anything else happened to the phone in the last few days, such as drops, repair attempts, water etc? Do you use non-Apple chargers or cables? If not, then the battery will probably solve your problem. You can find the repair guide here.

If your phone turns on again after charging, connect it to the computer, click the "trust" prompt and enter your password.

Download a free piece of software called 3U Tools. If you have trusted the computer already open 3U Tools and you should now see your device info displayed. On the right side is the condition of your battery. Anything below 80% of new condition is not great. When I buy used phone to resell, I replace any <80% batteries before I mark the phone as tested. The worse the condition of your battery the more prevalent these problems:

-unexpected shutdowns

-poor battery life

-battery slow to charge

-battery percentage "jumps"
