Hi, if it is the problem I am thinking of, then this is a common problem with the Sequoia. Is there not tension on the latch handle? Does it just hang there? If so, the plastic latch arm that is attached to the back of the handle, and goes through the body to actuate the latch, has broken. It is cheap plastic so no wonder it broke. I order a new part (made out of metal) online and replaced on my own. There are a ton of videos online if you need help. Some are better than others but is is a pretty involved process.
