Source for Hinge/Clutch Cover (P/N 922-8789)

My hinge/clutch cover is cracked. I ordered a replacement and set about trying to install it, but the replacement part is nowhere near the same quality as the original. The mounting tabs aren't in the same place and try as I might, it simply won't snap into place properly. Ultimately, I just returned it.

This came from a Chinese seller on Amazon who had some pretty stellar reviews. In fact, I think mine was the first negative one, so clearly they've been dropping fake reviews.

Anyone have a reputable source for this part? Unfortunately iFixIt doesn't seem to carry it and I don't want to replace the entire display.

First the P/N you've got here is for a different model! Unibody MacBook Pro 15" display clutch cover (08/09) Apple P/N 922-8789

This is what you want: Unibody MacBook Pro 15" Clutch Cover (10/11/12) Apple P/N 922-9324

Thanks Dan! Perhaps that’s the problem... I got the P/N from the seller of the problematic part. Maybe he has confused which part goes with which model.

Although that seller is in the UK, I seem to have found the correct part from another. Fingers crossed.
