How do I factory my iPod 5th generation when I can't get my password?

I got a IPod 5g and can't rememember my password and many videos told me i needed a Mac computer to reset it but i don't have one or any money to buy one. is there any other way to factoey reset it?

that's ridiculous. apple told you need an apple computer to reset it? shame on them. they are lying.

Hi

You can use friend or neighbor computer and don’t need to be Mac book he can be windows open itunes and connect ur iPhone to the computer and just hold the power button and a home button together for 10 second then remove ur finger from power button and keep holding the home button for 15 second then itunes he will do a work for u

Sam is 100% correct. This will get the phone into DFU mode. iTunes on the computer will always ask you if you want the restore (erase and reset) a DFU mode phone/iPod.

As an alternative, if you cannot get the button timing right for DFU, you could also put it in Recovery mode, which is a bit easier.

To put your iPod in Recovery mode:

1. Turn it off.

2. Start holding the home button

3. With the home button still held down, plug the phone into the computer.
