Manuel Saturria on a manual transmission it is the back-up light switch that may have failed. On an automatic the backlight gets turned on by the gear position switch. So you do need to check the switches first. If they are closed it does not matter if you are in reverse since the switch no longer open the circuits. The lights will always be on. You do want to let us know what type of transmission your Honda has and the exact year of it as well.

Update (03/11/2018)

Manuel Saturria the switch is on the transmission housing.
