Installing hard drive for MacBook Core 2 Duo

Can I install 2TB SSHD in my Macbook Core 2 Duo?

Sadly, you can't install a SSHD as there is no SATA II (3.0 Gb/s) compatible SSHD.

You can install a SSD into your system. But before you go with such a large unit keep in mind the age of your system. App & OS support is limited with what you currently have. While you can re-use your SSD in another 2.5" based system or external drive case I would recommend sticking with a 1 TB drive.

Here's the IFIXIT guide you'll need to follow: MacBook Core 2 Duo Hard Drive Replacement As to what drive to use you'll need to get one that supports SATA II (3.0 Gb/s). I would recommend going with a Samsung 860 EVO You notice in this spec sheet SATA II is supported. Whatever you go with make sure the spec sheet lists SATA II (3.0 Gb/s)
