Audio Cable replacement step 8

Step 8 says: Use a spudger to pry the speaker cable connector up off the audio board. This connection doesn't seem to be a 'slide' or 'clip' in. The wire tips seemed to be 'soldered' and now they're detached. Was this what was to be expected? Breaking apart the soldering?
