F-Series Vertical Green Line

Hey folks,

my F-Series Samsung (UE32F5570) got a vertical green line at a moments notice about a year and a half ago. About a half year ago I bought a new TV and never bothered about the old one until now. Okay so back to topic;

Is there any way to fix this TV without gambling or wasting too much money into it? I already opened the back of it and exchanged the ribbon connectors with each other on the T-Con board.

Oh and I removed both boards and baked them for 15 minutes at 200°C.

Kind regards

Hello Krypton,

You are getting a green line on the side of the screen due to a bad connection on one of the flexible ribbon cables attached to the screen itself. In the area near where the line appears you will need to gently press on one of the ribbons while the set is on and you will find 1 spot where the line disappears. To fix this you can add some sort of foam to constantly press in that area. That should be the fix for it. Unfortunately there is no other way to fix it short of replacing the tv.

Good Luck!
