Water Spots on Screen, New LCD needed?

Hey, I spilt some orange soda over my 64GB itouch, and instantly went to flush it out with 90% isopropyl alcohol to get as much as I can off and out of any cracks or crevices. I successfully got the soda out, but some of the alcohol left these "bright blotches" on my screen. When reading on other forums, etc. I heard that it should evaporate and go away in a few days. It's been 3 weeks, and they're still there. If I open this up, could I let it air out or otherwise remove these markings? Or did I irreversibly damage the LCD screen?

I included pictures to show exactly what happened.

The spots will not go away this is from water damage. If it bothers you you can replace it. I would wait until it fails or the glass gets broke to change it out, that way you dont damage the screen removing it.

First I would try opening up your iPod, and using a micro-fiber cloth to see if they will come off. If not, then you will need a new LCD which is not that expensive. Usually under $25.
