My screen was cracked two(?) years ago, but it wasn’t in the way, so I left it.
My son got ahold of it the other day, and it started ghosting. I restarted it, and it fixes it for about 30 min and then it starts ghosting again.
Options?

Even though the glass screen is cracked, the actual capacitive digitizer can still function, as you saw over the last 2 years. However, over time a cracked screen will eventually damage the digitizer and cause a variety of issues, including ghosting.
The digitizer will have to be replaced. You can do it yourself by following this guide. It's a fairly difficult repair but go through the guide first to see if you want to try.
