Ripped home button ribbon cable from lcd

I was trying to replace the screen on my friends iPhone 6s. The screen was extremely shattered as it was. I tried taking the screen off using a heat gun, suction, and some prying tools and the bottom part of the screen (all of the white area including the home button) ripped off from the LCD part of the screen. I am wondering if i can replace this cable/the home button at all. I don't care too much about touch ID as long as it's working.

I can post pics if need be (not sure how to do it on here)

If it's the cable directly coming from the home button itself you will need to replace the home button and lose touch Id.

If it's coming from the screen only then you will need to replace the screen.

Not sure exactly what you mean. Here's a link to imgur so you can see the phone.

Yeah you need to replace the home button. Unfortunately no touch ID now.
