Touch screen not working? here is the steps for a general diagnosis of the issue.

1) Try a hard reset: A lot of touch failures Stem from software glitches which are fixed with a cashe dump on resetting the device. Hold all three mechanical buttons. (pwr, vol+, vol-) for 15 seconds, and reboot your device.

2) A software reload: start with a factory reset, then move along to a Reload using ODIN. this would remove any end user data as well, so if you dont want to lose your data, asve this step for last.

3) Corrosion/Damage: Scan the board for any physical damage, or corrosion to the components. this type of problem can cause a slew of different failures. touch problems being one of the most prominent

4) A digi failure. Purchase, and replace the touch panel/glass. the parts are usually not too expensive, however, sometimes they do come with the LCD attached, which will drastically increase the cost.

5) Board level failure: This required a background in electronics board troubleshooting, as well as microsoldering techniques. Outsource this to a professional.
