Humidity sensor won't let me charge my phone (non water damage)

When connecting my phone to a charger (I've tried multiple, including a new fast charger) the phone gives me a message that doesn't allow to charge due to humidity. I've tried cleaning the charge port, but so far my only fix is to use the wireless charger. Do I need to change my charge port or could this be a software issue?

I think it has to be something software related since charging works with the wired charger at times.
