'87 Silverado stalling while slowing down or stopping, help?

I have an '87 Silverado that has just begun her long recovery. Among many minor issues, she shuts down when I am coming to a stop or slowing down. We replaced every spark plug, new exhaust and oil change. If anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated. Trying to bring the old girl back to life.

Kendra Bass, when you say "shuts down when coming to a stop or slowing down; do you mean it stalls out when you let off the gas (possible fuel related), when you press the brake (possible vacuum leak inside the brake booster, or when you slow to a stop (possible issue with an automatic transmission? And does it shut down completely, so that you have to start it again with the key, or does it just spit or stumble? A little more info and we can help you further.
