Choice of the charger:Greenspot or the standard one

Hi, whoever is reading this

Here‘s the prob:

I bought my touch gen4 with an so-called authentic tiny charger ’greenspot‘. However, when i charge my touch with it and with earplug plugged in, i always hear some sizzlings, noise more precisely, from the earplug.

the specifics of the charger :

input:100-240v~50/60HZ 0.15A

output:dc 5v 1A

What's more, there's no such noise when I try charging my touch with another charger designed for sony products featuring specs:

input:AC 100-240v 50-60hz, 0.15A

output: DC 5v 0.8A

Question is :

1. would the greenspot charger damage the touch's battery with more often uses?

2. would there be any potential danger if i keep using the sony charger? Otherwise I'll buy a stardard charger for apple products.

Brandon,

There shouldn't be any real difference between the Sony charger and the Apple charger... we can always argue semantics, but a USB charger is a USB charger. If you're noticing an issue with your Apple charger, take it into the Genius Bar, tell them about it and they should replace it. I've not noticed the issue you're explaining with my green dot charger... so there probably is something wrong.
