After repair: Headphones work on one side only

Hi everybody,

thanks to the great instructions on this website I could replace my lightnig connector and audio jack on my iPhone SE.

The connector works now, but the audio jack does not work properly. If I use headphones, it will just work on the left speaker of the headphones. The right one is completely mute.

Does anybody have an idea where this problem could be situated? And maybe even a solution?

I checked everything (all screws etc., different headphones, also moved the cable so I can exclude the possibility of bad/loose contact), no parts are missing, so I do not get the problem...

Thanks a lot in advance

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

A bit strange that a new charge port wouldn't work, have you tried different heaphones?

Hey,

in fact the charging works but my 2 different headphones do not, both with the same issue...

Has to be a faulty charge port then, what was wrong with your original one? would the headphones also not work or would it not charge?

by

It did not charge anymore. Headphones were working though. I fear this problem exists due to poor product quality of the replacement part.

Has to be the charge port. If you connect your old one up (just connect it dont install it) do you headphones work? If so you know 100% its the replacement part

Does it go silent or is it just more quiet on one side?

You can adjust the sound in one side in settings.

This probably won't work if it's silent though.

Is it with headphones or is it also the speaker?

If it's headphones, try a different pair and see if it works.

Hope I can help. You can do the settings thing temporarily, but you should probably get it looked at.

Could be the charger port. May be faulty, as stated in other comments.

Try putting your old charger and audio jack back in to see if it works.

Hope I could help? :-)
