won't charge when I put regular charger on
Trying to find out why my iPod only charges only when it's on a dock cradle and not w charger. Now it won't charge when I put regular charger on.

Jacqueline Campbell that will depend on the exact model of your iPod. It could be the connector being dirty, corroded or having bad/bend pins but it could also be your charger as well as the battery. Let us know what kind of charger you are using.

I was using a apple iPod charger,but the only way it charged was putting it on a cradle,when I put it my stero deck a message came across can't recall but now not charging at all.

Start by replacing the battery. Just watch the battery connector, it has a tendency of easily braking off the board. Use this guide iPod Classic Battery Replacement for that. This iPod does not open easily but it is doable.
