Why won't I receive text notification on my S2 watch?

My watch will notify me for every app I have checked except for texts. I've checked the "manage notification", section on the gear app on my phone several times. I made sure its not blocked. I've reset my watch. I've checked my watch several times to see if I've blocked my text messages aswell. Please help!
