Why my iPad doesn't go past Apple logo?

I have a A1430 WIFI + CELLULAR iPad which was running completely fine. However, it start discharging completely when the battery came down to 30% . Then , while plugging in to charge, first the red battery comes on followed by the Apple logo & keep going on loop. Doesn't charge or go beyond the Apple logo. Really frustrated & kindly requesting for suggestions. Pleasure

Your problem appears to be a dead battery. It doesn't take a charge and it's not charged enough to boot the iPad. Considering the age of the device, this is completely normal. You can change it yourself, just check out this repair guide to see if your comfortable with all the steps.

Probably a dead battery, you should get it replaced.

I'm not sure if it could be a logic board issue because something similar is happening to my iPhone 5s.
