Why isn't my e-mail downloading?

My e-mail isn't downloading onto my phone as it used to. Now, instead of getting mail, I get a message saying to be sure the settings for my incoming mail server are right. Any help?

What email provided are you using? Hosted / 365 or company?

what settings had you set for your phone?



It's mac.com e-mail. I'm using pop settings.



I suppose is your icloud email account?

Hi. Thanks for the tip. After changing the settings, I got the following message: "Alert: Unable to connect to e-mail server to verify your account info. No response from server." Any further counsel?


Hi @tnrc75, is the IMAP and ports configured properly?

IMAP information for the incoming mail server

Server name: imap.mail.me.com

SSL Required: Yes

If you see an error message when using SSL, try using TLS instead.

Port: 993

Username: This is usually the name part of your iCloud email address (for example, emilyparker, not emilyparker@icloud.com). If your email client can't connect to iCloud using just the name part of your iCloud email address, try using the full address.

Password: Generate an app-specific password.
