@jimmydean sounds like your TV screen has developed solarization issues. Post some images of what your screen shows with your question. Use this guide Adding images to an existing question for that so we can see what you see. This could be a T-con error, Main Board or panel failure. If your on-screen menu is normal but your video screen is distorted, it is most likely a bad Main board. If both the menu and the screen are solarized in appearance it is either the t-con board or the panel.

sometimes the t-con board is interchangeable but this will depend on what model your TV's are.

I’ve had the same problem before it’s easy fix,i you have access to your service menu. And if that service menu has LVDS settings. The TVs that I’ve fix this on are insignia & RCA, in the service menu> panel settings> LVDS , I noticed it sometimes when you click one of the settings over, and I think it was for LVDS setting that the screen turn into ghost the operation look like you’re looking through a soap bubbles, some might look as people described as a x-ray. I’m pretty sure these things decide what frequency or pulse rate or something that your motherboard is feeding information into your T-con. I Switched the Board in a insignia before that appeared to be the exact same TV and board. But when I turned the TV on, I recognized right away that it looked how it did when i was playing with the LVDS configuration in the panel settings, in the service menu which you get to by pressing the TV on and then off, so it goes into standby mode. Then you press mute-1-8-2-power. Or search service codes for your brand.
