iPhone 6 multimeter keeps changing?

I'm testing the charging port as my phone has a the fake charging issue and gets very hot. I've tested the pin on the battery terminal to the metal piece on the SIM card holder with a multimeter, apparently the voltage should be between 1.8 and 4.2 V but mine goes from 3.8 volts and jumps down to 0.3 and up again with the battery disconnected and the charging cable in. This continuously jumps from 0.3 to 3.8 so I'm wondering if I need to replace the charging port, I've disconnected the charging port flex from the loudspeaker while the phone is on but the same issue occurs and will just continue to get hot and lose battery fast.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Can you get apple logo with the battery unplugged but charger plugged in?

If not, you have a bad tristar charging IC issue, also rapid battery drain is also another symptom of bad charging IC if battery health is reported fine using these methods:

Use one of these methods to check your battery:

Windows PC - 3UTools

Mac OS X - CoconutBattery

Using mobile app - Battery Life

Also don't put your phone in the freezer like the other guy said, the phone will just get liquid damaged inside due to condensation.

Also if the battery goes flat and it wont charge after that, it's guaranteed the tristar charging chip is at fault.

To get that chip replaced it requires board level repair / microsoldering. You may be able to find someone locally in your area that offers this kind of service.

I can sometimes get the apple logo when the charger is plugged in without the battery but it flashes for a brief second and I have to position the loudspeaker flex just right. I think it might be the flex below the loudspeaker as I might have damaged it while moving the rear housing.

The CPU is getting really hot but I noticed I've plugged in a 3rd party charger into the charging port which has a LED to show if it's charging but it's constantly flashing from charging to not charging every 2 seconds

Right brother 3rd party charger ruin the iDevice. I recommend you looks funny but in most of the cases it`s work.Leave the phone on charger for 2-3 hours when extremly heat put it on freezer for 4-5 minute with saftey.

I've tried an official apple charger and disconnected their battery and connected the charger and put the multimeter terminals on the battery terminal and the SIM card shield again and this time the apple logo blinks for a split second and the voltage jumps back down to .3 and turns off and repeats.

I can also comment that I'm getting the fake charging symptom where the phone will slowly go up percentage if lucky but will not steadily keep the percentage and it will slowly heat up and lose battery really quickly so I'm wondering it's the Tristar issue.
