Phone has a mind of it's own after screen replacement

I have replaced many iPhone 7 screens now but I'm having a high ratio of phones coming back to me because of issues with the touch after the replacement. I've just been contacted by another customer saying that the screen has a mind of it's own, pressing button on it's own etc.

I'm buying what I consider to be good quality screens, certainly not cheap nasty ones. I'm installing correctly and testing before I give back to the customer (with the customer present) and all works great but within 24 hours they develop issues.

Can anyone offer any advice/solutions.

Thank you

Hi,

If you’re not using OEM/Original or refurbished screens, you can have these issues happen, as copies are pretty unreliable.

The cables on the 7 series are also very fragile, so any excess bending can cause this to.

Another thing to look out for, is any issues with the Audio IC, this can cause touch issues, freezing, etc.

Repeated problems probably indicate a poor supplier. You don't say where you got them so I can't comment but I would certainly contact them and discuss the issue. You could also try some better quality screens to see if the problems go away.

Does the problem persist if you put back the original LCD's? If so then check the audio IC as @gedo1992 has said. If it does try replacing the IC.
