Will removing the white screw sticker cause me a problem with Apple?

Hey all!

Currently, my phone has a problem where during a call I can't hear from the earpiece speaker (So I have to speak to people through the Speakerphone).

I ordered an earpiece speaker and fitted the new part, but the phone call was still extremely faint, just like last time.

Therefore, I thought I'd bring it to an Apple Store - HOWEVER, during the attempted fix, I had to remove the white stick on the screw to the Logic Board in the iPhone.

Will this cause me a problem, if I take my phone into the store? I.e. Will they refuse to work with it?

Thanks,

Mark

Okay thanks for the replies - any suggestions on what this problem could be?

I feel it may be a software problem - so I may reset my phone - but apart from that im lost :P

Hey Mark

You may have damaged the #3 ribbon, #3 connector, or have a bad speaker. Check if there is anything covering the speaker hole. Email me if you want someone to take a look at it. I can replace your warranty sticker as well.

I believe they will repair it but they will charge you for it.

The "do not remove" sticker is a deterrent. If you remove this, they will void any warranty you have left. Also, apple usually doesnt do repairs, they either give you a new refurb phone if youre under warranty or you buy one if youre out of warranty. The most Ive seen them do is replace the screen assembly. Dont take it to Apple.
