Got it wet and heard sizzling
Stupidly plugged it in. ^@&^ down after 2 seconds of sizzling sounds. Now it won't do anything at all.
I am determined to fix it myself
Please any suggestions will be very much appreciated
Is this a good question?

While your determination is admirable, it reminds me of this commercial:

Get a multimeter and start with the magsafe port.
Luke 14:28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
here's the 2.26 logic board: http://www.welovemacs.com/6615230.html
here's the 2. 53 logic board: http://www.welovemacs.com/6615231.html
Was this answer helpful?
Would I be better off replacing the DC in board and battery first? Then go for the far more costly logiv board?
PS
At least the commercial made me smile thru the tears
You could give the DC port a try. I wouldn't buy a battery. Disconnect the old one and try starting. Look on the logic board for burned areas before buying anything.
Thanks Mayer!
I'll give it a try!
