Screen stuck on Apple logo after replacements

Hi,

Took the old screen off of the iPhone 7 Plus and when testing it, I notice that it’s stuck on the Apple logo when booting, it doesn’t do much else. I have however ONLY connected the new screen and not the other gubbins... could that be the issue or have I already royally messed up?

Cheers, community.

Answer this question I have this problem too

You need to plug in at least the home button if you want it to boot up faster, without the home button it will take a long time to boot on the apple logo.

I always just assemble the front camera and home button on the screen.

Personally I have never bothered with plugging in the home button only because I've never had issues with my iPhone 7 screens from my two suppliers.

Ok, I’ll give that a go. I noticed that it would boot up to the Apple logo screen, then go slightly yellow and power off and repeat...?

Will try to connect it all when I’m home later. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated :-)

When the apple goes off then goes back on and changes color, that is just the night shift coloring kicking in during boot up, nothing to worry about if that occurs. Pretty much happens to any device on iOS 10 or higher.

Built it back together and it keeps turning on and off. It doesn’t get past the Apple logo?
