iPad Mini Screen Digitiser not responding at all after replacement

So I decided to replace my IPad Mini Screen because it was cracked and everything went well until my phone lost all charge so I couldn't watch the ifix it video about it, by this time I was already committed and has stuff in the device. I did the screen replacement and accidentally cut the digitiser on the old screen taking it off and not when I try to put the new glass digitiser on it won't respond at all. Please help I'm gonna be in so much trouble because it's not muni iPad it's my friends and I'm trying to fix it for him. I need urgent help!!!

Cutting the old digitizer flex shouldn't cause any problems, lot's of tech actually do this when removing damaged digitizers (it's faster).

I would go through this guide completely to see if you didn't accidentally damage anything else along the way and correct as needed. Report back with any findings.

So what i found out was. I stripped some pins off of the touch FPC connector and therefore the touch, home button and lock button wouldn't work. I have attempted to replace it but I only have a 400 degree hot air gun. i dont have anything like a soldering iron. would you be able to help?

Replacing an FPC connector can't be done with a hot air gun as it puts out too much air and can damage the surrounding components. A hot air station is needed or a fine point, temperature controlled soldering station.

Depending on where you are located, you may have an experienced micro-solderer locally. If you can't find one locally, then consider mail-in repair. There are several reputable micro-solderers patrolling this forum. You can also click on my profile to learn more about my services, at the very least, it can serve as a data point.
