LED screen for older generation MacBook Pro 17"

I'm replacing the LCD screen on my A1212 MacBook Pro, which is old & becoming more yellowish now. Found a good deal on a LED-backlit screen for A1261 MBP ( model LP171WU4(TL)(A4) ) but not sure if its compatible with my MBP's logic board & GPU.

If they do, what type of display data cable and inverter should I use?

I found these components on ebay for A1261 and will they fit together?

Display Data Cable

A1261 593-0739

A1261 593-0746 B

Inverter

AS0221756E0 612-0033-A

Any help will be highly appreciated! Thanks

Your machine is a:

Apple MacBook Pro "Core 2 Duo" 2.5 17" (08) Specs

Identifiers: Early 2008 - MB166LL/A - MacBookPro4,1 - A1261 - 2199

Before replacing anything let's see if we can identify the problem. You may just need to calibrate the screen. Your machine did have a problem with yellow tinting. Please run this test and let us know the results:http://cantonbecker.com/yellowish-macboo...

Yes it does show yellowish hue, especially to the top and bottom edge of the screen when running the grey image you referred.

Sorry I've misidentified my MBP's model # as A1261, its actually A1212 as a friend point out to me.

So is the LED-backlit panel ( model LP171WU4(TL)(A4) ) compatible with A1212's logic board & GPU unit? If they do will the below data cables and inverter for A1261 fit in? Thanks

Display Data Cable

A1261 593-0739

A1261 593-0746 B

Inverter
