Samsung 10.1 sm-t580 android lock screen is now black

Just bought Samsung Galaxy tab A 10.1 sm-t580. I set it up last night. All was fine. Then today turned on tab but lock screen is black. I can enter the password with no problem and open tab. I tried a few times to add photo, tapped 'lockscreen' but lock screen is still black. Don't know if I did something or not.

It's a fair question but a bad build all around. I'm locked out won't accept my pin and screen goes black occasionally as I try to power off and do reset steps on boot up.

This tablet is known for one thing- The LCD ribbon cable comes out……a lot, I have reseated the cable plenty of times until I had to just buy a new one, they are cheap on ebay about 8 dollars and taking off the cover to get to it is not that hard

The cable does not need to be replaced. Just reseated and some careful placement of tape to hold it in place. Yellow kapton tape is best for this.
