Restoring Photos to Samsung Galaxy 8+ SM-G955U

This Saturday, my son accidentally deleted over 20k photos on my phone. After murdering him, I rooted my phone using this method:

This requires a factory reset at the end.

Since then I've been trying every program I can find on the pc (fonelab, dr. fone, mobisaver, remo (which won't even recognize my phone)) and on android (diskdigger and others) and can find nothing.

Any help out there or am I completely screwed?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I think NOW you may be completely screwed.

Rooting with a factory reset is *usually* a secure erase.

You could have restore the photos with a 3rd party app *before* rooting.

Your only chance now is if you happened to have either google+, google photos, or Samsung cloud automatically backup your photos online.

Here is an old iFixit thread that you should have looked into first.

Have you add new photos on your phone?

If your data has been overwritten by new files,it may can’t recover.

If not,I recommend you read the article.
