Do you have AppleCare + ?

If you do Apple will replace the display assembly for a fixed cost which is still cheaper than getting a new display your self and putting it on.

I would not bother. Unless you have serious stoved in the corners or cracked the screen. It is easy to brake other components if you are not experienced repairer. I would put a sticker over it or get a vinyl wrap.

If you have don't have applecare but have full contents insurance on house you might be covered for electronic goods incidental damage.
