How to awake a li-ion battery? (orange led flashes)

Hello,

I have a macbook 3.1 and while I was surfing on the Internet through Windows 10 the computer shuted down in the 5% of battery capacity. The battery is an old original one but it could last about 2 hours. So I believe that the battery is sleeping (deep zero capacity) and I'm trying to find a way to wake it up!

What I read, as far as macbook pro is concerned, I found that leaving the magsafe on the macbook for a whole day the battery was waking up while the led blinking orange!

I did SMC reset and the led is flashing orange 2 days now without waking up the battery. Should I wait longer?

Is there any other tip to suggest?

Hi, unfortunately battery's can just die, sometimes irrelevant of the cycle count, I've had near new MacBooks with a completely dead battery that just won't charge, however they could be a fault with the charging circuit of your MacBook. If you navigate to -(apple logo)->about this Mac->and then system report->then navigate to power-> if you scroll down can you tell me what the device says of the condition of the battery it should be either

Normal

Service battery

You will also get the service battery in your menu bar if you click on the battery icon.
