My went into safe mode and wont update

my went into safe because my dad unplugged it without turning it off and now i cant get it to update to use again but i dont want to reset because i dont think i have it backed up

and i have tried a hard drive update and i have tried to update online with a lan cable but it just goes back to the safe mode and you have to update even though it said it had already updated it just goes back to the same thing
