My iPhone will power off to the apple logo, battery has been changed!

My iPhone 6 has had a battery change 5 months ago. Lately it will not hold a charge and if I go to the internet after a couple minute it will power down to apple logo. After a few minutes it powers back up. I have read where apple sent an update out to older phones to make the battery not hold a charge, and slow speeds, in an attempted to get people to upgrade there phones. Is this true?

I think you misunderstood what Apple is doing with batteries and throttling. You can read up more on it here.

As for your specific problem, you may have a poor quality replacement battery. You can check it's condition by using a battery utility, such as coconutBattery (for Mac) or 3uTools (for Windows). It will tell you what the health of the battery is. Anything less than 70% of design capacity will require replacement.

I checked my battery per 3uTools (for Windows) and it was 100%. Let me restate some facts. My phone will reboot after about 15 minutes if I am on line per say FB or Safari. If I have my phone charging it does not reboot.... Please help me decide if i should bite the bullet and get a new IPhone. This one is 3 years old.

Battery not providing correct voltage, you should try replacing the battery first and see how that goes.
