Water damaged iPhone 6 no short draws 0.34mA - 0.45mA

We have a water damaged iPhone 6 which I haven't been able to locate a short on.

All the main lines such as VCC_Main, PP5V0_USB. VBATT, PP3V0_NAND, PP1V2 (and SDRAM) are draing normal power when testing for voltages.

PP3V3_ACC draws 0.55V - now I believe this isn't terribly important, however PP1V8 on any cap (good or bad looking) draws 0.05V

Ultrasonic cleansing was first carried out to this.

C1513 is missing and the backlight diode on the PP_LCM_BL_Anode side looks rusted. Out multimeter won't fit here to test.

Just wondering because the PMIC gets silly hot but we also don't have any freeze spray (might look into getting some).

Unsure if this is an outright PMIC failure because it doesn't recognise on iTunes in any way put it does draw current so I don't believe this to be a U2 failure or anything. Would love to know what techniques there are for strange cases like this.

Man y thanks as always everyone.

If you're PP1V8 is that low, it is probably shorted.

You should test the PMIC outputs for shorts first while the board is unpowered, not measure voltages, that way you aren't doing any additional damage to the circuitry.

The problem could be with the PMIC but you have to eliminate any downstream issues first.

One thing that has now been discovered is a short on PP1V8_SDRAM, a couple of suspect caps and the audio IC lifted because this had considerable corrosion and the short still exists. Still need to determine the location of this short (hopinh it's not in the CPU or anything).

Thank you for the response Minho, much appreciated.
