2 Processor Machine only shows 1 processor in System Profiler

Hey!

I have two issues with my Power Mac G5 Dual Processor 2.3Ghz.

1) Only one processor shows up in system profiler and one of the fans spins faster than the other.

2) When the Mac goes to sleep, the fans accelerate to full speed and then the computer goes into coma mode.

It is five year old and has only been used for basics recently (emails/docs/web) but I'd love to get it up and running again for some Final Cut Pro action!

I'd really appreciate any help or suggestions you can give me!

Many thanks! :)

Start up from your original system installation disk holding down the"D" key and run diagnostics. You may be lucky that it will run with just one processor
