My LCD screen blacked out

I dropped my camera and everything works except when I turn it on My LCD screen doesn’t work and won’t let me see pictures it’s just a blacked out screen. How can I fix this?

Hi @haniyahz ,

Take some pictures and then download them to a computer. (I realize that you cannot "see" what you are taking in the camera's LCD screen)

If the pictures are OK then most probably only the camera's LCD screen has failed and it needs to be replaced as it cannot be repaired.

Replacement screens are available online. Just search for Panasonic Lumix DMC-G5 LCD screen replacement part to get results for suppliers of the part.

If the pictures are not OK and are only a black image or have some other defect, then there are more problems with the camera, either with the CMOS sensor or the motherboard or both.
