Why is my laptop loads so slow?

When I turn on my laptop, everything loads so slow. I have to wait a few minutes before I could open anything. Sometimes, if I don't wait, my mouse pad does not respond and the cursor won't do what I want it to do. It just goes all over the place. However, if I restart my laptop the mouse pad works fine again.

Also, whenever I open google chrome, it takes so long before it loads and it keeps on not responding.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi Mostaffah Pirino

Consider doing a Diagnostic test, especially to your HDD for a check,

Hi,

What OS is installed in the laptop?

Try starting in 'safe mode' and see if the boot time is any faster.

How much free space is on the hard drive? Also, when was the last time you cleaned the junk files from the system? Another question is how often do you add or remove programs/applications? Final question, how much memory is installed in the laptop?

First, you don't need to shut down the computer every time.

Simply close the lid and allow it to go to "sleep mode". It will come right back to where you left off. Only restart if something isn't working right.

Second download "CCleaner". It will remove a lot of unwanted junk that has built up over the years.

Third right click the "Command Prompt" and select "Run as Administrator".

Then type in "chkdsk /f" (Space between k and /). Press enter, Press Y as in yes, and restart the computer.

If no errors have been found, defrag your computer.

If you have the budget, buy an SSD drive.
