it sounds like the baseband ic is faulty that is probably why it was stuck on searching and now showing error 48

How can I get the phone to restore?

by

you could try using 3utools and flash also pick automatic activation. it might work and might not,

Ok ill give it a shot and update you

Automatic activation just means 3Utools will attempt to activate the phone after it boots up.

Putting pressure on the baseband chip itself will allow the phone at least to restore but baseband sounds like it needs to be reballed or components powering baseband have gone bad.

I know what it means lol. Its pretty self-explanitory. Anyways I will give it a shot. When I received the phone the board was heavily corroded and was cleaned with Isopropyl alcohol. That might play a role in the error.
