Home Button Nowhere to connect to

So my Moms iPhone 6 had the problem that the Home Button sometimes didnt register when being pressed to finally to work anymore.

I ordered a new Home Button off Amazon and tried to replace it today, when i wanted to disconnect the old Home button from the flex cable i quickly realized that there was nowhere to connect the new one, i thought that i may ripped off the connector but that was also not the case.

Would i now need to also order a new Home Button Flex cable and replace that ?

Its ripped.. the connectors on the flex are probably stuck in your mothers homebutton. You’ll need a new backplate.

You could just order the flex cable, but I personally only orders the complete thing.
