cracked black screen but still makes noise

Earlier today my phone screen cracked up by the front camera, probably from the metal water bottle in my bag, and now the screen is black with a green and red line running down the right side. However, my phone still makes noises when I receive messages. Is my LCD broken or is there another issue? Wondering whether it is worth repairing or just getting a new phone

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hey man, there's no need to shell out on a brand new phone! You can save yourself a load of money just by replacing the screen. The LCD here is at fault from obvious reasons, however on the iPhone you can't really just replace the LCD as the display assembly is all compact into one and it's just easier and cheaper to replace the entire assembly. Take a look at a guide and have a go at replacing the screen, as long as you do it right, there should be no problems and you'll have a fresh, fully functioning screen. Try to purchase an assembly with the front facing camera, mic etc on, just saves you more hastle, otherwise have a look at guides for replacing / moving the front facing camera to the replacement screen.

yes, your LCD is very likely damaged.

the iphone six screen replacement is usually close to 1/4 the cost of the retail value of the phone. it is more sensible to get it repaired.

doing it yourself is a more dangerous prospect, but also the least expensive
