Label iPhone battery with Sharpie?

For the past week or so I've been switching out batteries in and out of iPhone 6's to test whether or not the phone itself is functional. But I was wondering if it was safe to label the battery with a sharpie or something to keep track of the date or times I've used the battery over long periods.

Yes, a sharpie is fine to write on a battery with.

If you still don't feel comfortable about it, you can always use Post-It notes.

labelling shouldnt be a problem aslong as it not punctured etc
