I would like to fix my Dad's old 1940's Lionel train. orkin
I would like to fix my Dad's old 1940's Lionel train. It hasn't worked since the 1970's. I remember turning the switch on the Transformer back then and absolutely nothing happened. There are no Lionel repair shops nearby so how can I get this train running again?
Is this a good question?

@sue11fenimore77 give us some more information about what you are trying to do. Is there a single train (model etc.) that does not work or does everything not work? Do you have power coming from the transformer?

On the engine it says O Gage 224 if that makes any sense to you. I do have paperwork on the train, but I will have to do some searching to find it. I remember years ago plugging in the transformer flicking the switch and nothing happened. So I am going to test the transformer first and go from there. Hopefully, we can get this train running again. Thanks for your help!

I still have all the information that you sent me, but no, I haven't had time to work on it yet. Other projects (especially from work) keep popping up. I will have it fixed by next Christmas though, that's a promise.
