Dropped iPhone and now I have a black screen?

I have a jalibroken iPhone 3G. Today, I dropped it from about a foot high and the screen turned black. The iPhone is still on because I could still listen to music and the vibrate/loud switch still works (It vibrates when I switched it to vibrate). How do I fix this? Or will I probably have to get a brand new LCD screen? Please help! I really do not want to spend the money unless I have to.

I already tried rebooting it a few times.

Does the screen look cracked in any way? If not, my guess is that there is a lose connection to the screen because of the drop. I would open it up and check the #1, #2 & #3 screen connections and also make sure the ribbon cables are not damaged in any way. Here's instructions on how to change the screen and check the ribbon cables. iPhone 3G Display Assembly Replacement
